A lot of corporates, RWAs, school childrens groups and others have been inspired by the clean-ups to do their own. There have been many cleaning events all over Delhi. Occupants can make a place as clean as they desire..it is in their hands. While we have had great support from the MCD for the one time cleanups our efforts on working on finding sustainible solutions with them are not making much headway. We are willing to give them the benefit of doubt ...they are busy with the CWG. Hopefully sustainibility and citizen participation will get more attention post the games!

We have a large cleanups coming up. Sat 11th Sept, 2010 is a group challenge. Corporates, big and small, rwas, schools, colleges, any other organisations are welcome and encouraged to join. Participation certificates to the group. Certificates to all the school and college groups for the volunteers too. Winner certificates to the groups, based on zone. Cleanups are about people and some effort...and it can be fun too. If you would like to encourage you and assist you where we can. We also hope that you all will join other cleaning events organised by groups all over Delhi. Once we have details of other events we will post them on our website too. We would like to see every cleaning effort in the city succeed! AOL is organising a cleaning week from 6th to 12th Sept, so if you are not participating on the 11th, please join their cleanups. We want you to participate, with us, on your own, with AOL, with anyone....just CARE, STAND UP and DO SOMETHING!
